The project aims to elaborate a system for BMW-Magyarország that enables service stations to order spare parts from dealers.

The application is a web-based spare parts ordering system enabling two-way communication with the data-base management systems of the individual dealers. Orders placed on the web interface are forwarded to the dealer's database management system while the web interface allows for the online tracking of order status.

Users of the portal:

  • system administrator; special access to the system with (exclusive) rights to create/modify/delete dealer data in the system.
  • dealers; system access given to dealership. Any dealership can have an arbitrary number of users (service). Dealers manage the data of their own users directly (create/modify/delete users).
  • service stations; "end-users", who place their orders for parts using the portal.
